Great News! Tongling Bionic Wins Award

2025-11-12

On the morning of November 9, 2025, the "Directing to Wuzhen" Global Internet Competition Awards Ceremony was held in Wuzhen, Zhejiang. Tongling Bionic's "Intelligent Percutaneous Ventricular Assist Device" won the second prize in the Digital Intelligent Healthcare track, recognized for its groundbreaking innovations and forward-thinking concepts in treating critically ill cardiac patients.

The "Directing to Wuzhen" Global Internet Competition is one of the key events of the World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit. This year's competition featured six tracks: Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Connected Mobility, Digital Intelligent Healthcare, Intelligent Manufacturing, Smart Terminal, and Open-Source Projects. A total of 1,082 projects from 29 countries and regions participated, with only 6 grand prizes, 6 first prizes, 18 second prizes, and 30 third prizes awarded.

The percutaneous ventricular assist device (pVAD) is an advanced innovative medical device and a cutting-edge mechanical circulatory support technology internationally. It primarily provides hemodynamic support for critically ill cardiac patients, applicable in cases of cardiogenic shock and high-risk PCI procedures. Through a minimally invasive procedure, a miniature catheter pump with a diameter of only a few millimeters is inserted into the patient's heart, continuously pumping blood from the ventricle into the artery to enhance blood circulation, reduce myocardial oxygen consumption, and actively unload cardiac workload.

Tongling Bionic offers multiple product models, including the TeleVad P35 and P50, which boast advantages such as high assist efficiency, low hemolysis rates, and user-friendly operation. The built-in high-precision motor drives the impeller to rotate at high speeds, delivering strong and stable pumping performance. Through rigorous fluid dynamics validation and impeller structural optimization, damage to red blood cells is significantly minimized, resulting in lower hemolysis rates and enhanced patient safety. A novel fiber optic sensor enables real-time, precise monitoring of aortic pressure, assisting in catheter pump positioning and withdrawal. The innovative anticoagulation and cooling system provides lubrication, cooling, and anti-clotting functions.

The TeleVad console serves as the intelligent core of the entire system. Equipped with advanced algorithms, it integrates critical functions such as real-time monitoring, operational control, interface display, alarm alerts, and power drive, enabling medical staff to comprehensively monitor device status and make timely adjustments.

Additionally, the company is actively exploring the application of artificial intelligence technologies in the pVAD field. By leveraging advanced technologies such as deep generative models, it aims to achieve adaptive pump flow regulation, active safety protection, and intelligent weaning functions, further enhancing the product's safety, reliability, and usability.

The product has not yet been commercially applied and is currently undergoing pre-market clinical registration.
